The loan payment to a personal UPI IDSCAM
A real scam people fell for this year, next to the real thing. The numbers mark the three things to check: hover or tap one to see what it tells you.
Enter your loan account number to see the amount due.
Pay by UPI, debit card or net banking, straight to HDFC Bank.
Pay ₹8,450 today to avoid late charges and a court case.
Pay by UPI to: rajesh.k8891@ybl. Then enter the UTR number below.
Always check the UPI ID.
A "loan settlement" page that never names the lender and takes the money to one person's UPI ID. Real lenders collect in their own name, on their own site or app. Money sent to a stranger's UPI ID can't be traced or reversed.
You pay HDFC Bank on hdfc.bank.in, the bank's own address.
You pay rajesh.k8891@ybl, one person's UPI ID, on a page with no lender's name.
It asks your loan account number and shows what you really owe.
It wants ₹8,450 sent by UPI and the UTR number as proof.
No threat.
Pay today or face late charges and a court case.
RememberOnly repay a loan in the lender's own app or site, to the lender's name. Never to a personal UPI ID someone sends you.
