Remote Customer Support role: offer letter
SShopify Recruiting <careers@shopify-hrteam.com>to me10:42 AM

Dear Applicant,

Your resume was reviewed and you have been selected for a remote Customer Support role at $34/hr. A work laptop will be sent to you.

To start onboarding, write to our hiring manager Mrs. Linda Walsh directly at lindawalsh.hiringdesk@outlook.com with your full name, address and phone number.

Always check the reply address.

The email is "from Shopify", but it tells you to write to a free Outlook account instead. Real recruiters reply from the company's own address, and a job you never interviewed for is a lure for your details.

2What it asks you to doDoes it want a password, a payment, a call, or a tap?

Book a 30-minute video interview.

Send your full name, address and phone number to a free Outlook account.

3How hard it pushesIs there a deadline, a threat, or a surprise charge?

No rush, pick a time next week.

A $34/hr job and a free laptop, with no interview at all.

RememberA job email that asks you to write to a different, free address is a scam. Real companies reply from their own.
