Your $12,000 loan is approved
MMaple Lending Group <maplelending.approvals@gmail.com>to me10:42 AM

Congratulations, your personal loan of $12,000 is approved. No credit check needed.

Before we release the funds, a refundable insurance deposit of $450 must be sent by Interac e-Transfer to our loan officer.

Send it today and the money will be in your account within 2 hours.

Always check the deposit.

A real lender takes its fees out of the loan or adds them to your payments. One that wants an e-Transfer before it sends the money is not a lender, and that deposit never comes back.

1Where it livesIs it the real company's or person's own address or number?

noreply@rbc.com is RBC's own address.

maplelending.approvals@gmail.com is a free Gmail account, not a lender.

2What it asks you to doCheck firstDoes it want a password, a payment, a call, or a tap?

Nothing. The money goes into your account, and the first payment is next month.

A $450 "insurance deposit" by e-Transfer before you get the money.

3How hard it pushesIs there a deadline, a threat, or a surprise charge?

No rush.

"No credit check" and "send it today".

RememberNever pay to get a loan. A lender that wants money first is a scammer.
